Today, I had the opportunity to hear Governor Sarah Palin speak at the Redding Convention Center.
She was, indeed, true to form. No surprises. No major bombshells. No equivocation. No political speak that I could tell.
Just a candid, folksy way of talking with folks. Lots of honesty, candor and no sugar coating. And, while you’re at it, throw in a dose of good old commonsense and a love for her God, her family and her country.
Guess that’s why I like her. A truly refreshing change from the usual banter coming from most elected officials these days. I actually trust her.
And, to me, nothing is more important to the future of our country than restoring trust and confidence in our government. From where I sit, trust and confidence trumps republican or democrat any day of the week!
