POC:  Mary Barnes, Campaign Manager, (530) 221-5337

The Committee to Elect Colonel Pete Stiglich for Congress is pleased to announce that Shasta County Supervisor Les Baugh, District 5, has endorsed Colonel Pete for Congress.

Supervisor Baugh offered the following words of support:

“I am pleased to announce my support of Colonel Pete in his run for Congress.  He has the integrity, leadership skills and good common sense so desperately needed in Washington today.  Colonel Pete placed his country first for 26 years while serving in the US Armed Forces.  I know he will continue to put his country first if given the honor to serve as our Congressman.”

Supervisor Baugh has been very active in the local political scene for quite some time.  Prior to his election to the Board of Supervisors in 2006, he was elected four times to the Anderson City Council, serving twice as mayor.  Les has also served as a Planning Commissioner, Fire Board Director, County Jail Counselor and Chamber of Commerce President.  He currently serves as Pastor of Anderson Community Church and as Mercy Hospital Advisory Board Member Chair.

This latest endorsement comes on the heels of last week’s support garnered from the Shasta County California Republican Assembly.

Colonel Pete is deeply grateful to have received Supervisor Baugh’s endorsement and looks forward to working closely with him and other county officials in the future.
